New Year´s party 2008 in Paço de Arcos - unforgettable time
With a week before, we had no idea where we´re going to have the New Year´s party. But in a short time we found out that Ovidiu´s boss, that wasn´t in Lisbon at the year end, lets us in his apartment from Paço de Arcos (resort at the ocean) to have the New Year´s party. It´s a apartment with a big living, it´s near the ocean...great :-)
Finally we were 12 people, pretty diverse, even if the majority were Romanians: 2 Lithuanian girls, 2 Portuguese guys, 1 Brazilian guy and 7 Romanians.
We had a great time, had different traditional dishes from each "participating" country, the usual Romanian "sarmale" (we found out that also the Lithuanians have the same thing, but with another name)...it took me a long time to make them...but they were a success :D, plus other specialties : Portuguese, Lithuanian. And of course, not to forget the traditional Romanian strong drink: "tuica".
We also danced - I liked that, because at least for me, any new year´s party or party in general must be with dancing, thing that it isn´t true for everyone (not quite for the Portuguese :P...anyway I was used to that since the time I was obsessed with sport dances and any going out, party or barbecue couldn´t be without dancing :-) ). We danced latino and also on pimba, traditional Portuguese low class music, but with a great rhythm and funny lyrics.
We celebrated "the midnight" 3 times :-), for 3 different hours: the first of

It was so funny...especially with that competition at the end :)) - I managed not to get on the sand ;), not the same thing for Ruta though :D.

The time passed fast..the majority of the people left around 5 AM to Lisbon, just us and the Lithuanian sisters we stayed until the next day, which was also funny...we chatted with Ruta and Giedre, we amused ourselves of the pictures of the night before..
It was great this New Year´s party!! I´ll gladly remember the fun that we had :-)
