Close to the last 100 metres

There are 3 more weeks until the end of my traineeship. So, I´m close to the last 100 metres. And it´s ok. I know that it couldn´t last forever, and it wouldn´t be nice like that either :-), because at a certain moment it would become something too common...Anyway, I think that one year or a bit more is very good for a traineeship. You get to know very well the country, the people, the places, you get to really feel the life there, you´re not an outsider anymore.

I´ll be here until the begining of April...Now I've got used to the idea, but I must say that the first reaction when I realised that I will actually leave, was one of desorientation..Because it´s different when you know that you´ll leave in a moment in the future, more or less defined, and to know exactly when you´re leaving. I realise that I will miss the life here, after so much time (I´m here since Nov 2006)..I will miss the colleagues from work, and the meetings with the AIESEC-ers, with the trainees, the relaxed way of Portuguese people, the ocean, the pasteis...and many other things...But in the same time I´m glad to know that I´ll still have some good friends - not many but real friends - that I will keep in touch, even if I won´t be in Lisbon.

And for sure we´ll get back here - most probable in the summer :-).

In the same time I´m excited that we´ll discover a new country, another culture, different from the one of Romania and Portugal.

Ovidiu has got the work permit for the AIESEC traineeship in England. The company is in Coventry, a city near Birmingham. In 12th of March he has the interview in London for the worker accession card, the second "paper" necessary to work in England. In 11th of March he´s leaving Lisbon. Me, on 2nd of April. It will be a new challenge, new things to discover, this time, having the experience of Portugal.

But, until then, there is some more time ;).
